Organizational Statement of Faith

We believe... The Bible is the inspired, infallible, authoritative written Word of God. (II Timothy 3:15-17) There is one God-revealed in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, commonly known as the Trinity. (Matthew 28:19; Ephesians 4:4-6) God made the heavens and the earth and all that is seen and unseen and created man in His own image. (Genesis 1:26) Jesus was present at Creation, born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, provided atonement for sin through His shed blood and death on the cross, was resurrected, ascended to the right hand of the Father, and will personally return in power and glory. (John 1:1-4; Matthew 1:18; Philippians 2:5-11; Hebrews 2:9 & 4:15; Acts 1:11 & 2:22-24; I Corinthians 15:3-4; Luke 24:51) Salvation is a gift from God and cannot be earned. Obedience is an act of worship, and we are set apart by God for His purpose and because of His great love for us. (Titus 3:4-7; Luke 24:46-47; Ephesians 1:4-14 and 2:8; John 14:6; Acts 4:12) The Holy Spirit’s presence and indwelling enables the Christian to live a godly life. We are each given spiritual gifts to be used for God’s glory. (Galatians 5:16-18; Romans 8:9; I Corinthians 12:1-11) Followers of Jesus Christ are united as members of His body, the Church, and are instructed to fellowship and support each other in love. (Ephesians 1:22-23; I Corinthians 12:12, 27; Hebrews 10:23-25) Both the saved and the lost will be resurrected; the saved unto the resurrection of eternal life and the lost unto the resurrection of damnation and eternal punishment. (Revelation 20:11-15; I Corinthians 15:51-57)
