City Vision Internships is a Christian one-year, multi-year or summer internship program based on the AmeriCorps model. Interns serve at one of over 40 positions across the USA and Canada. In the past 10 years, we have placed over 500 full-time interns and 68,000+ volunteers in hundreds of Christian ministries. Job Description: Cross Bar X has one male spot remaining for our year long internship program. Position begins May 1st. Internship can either be a paid stipend or free college tuition. PURPOSE To provide an affordable Christ centered and diverse post high school training ground for students interested in vocational non-profit Church and Para-Church work through hands on learning, apprenticeship, bible training, and college course work. REQUIREMENTS - Interns will agree theologically with Cross Bar X Youth Ranch The “Biblical Foundation” document can be found on our website. Interns will agree to adhere to these statements of belief and to direct campers accordingly. - Interns will uphold and work toward attaining the Cross Bar X Mission and Core Values Mission of CBX: Cross Bar X exists to reach socially and economically disadvantaged youth with the gospel of Jesus Christ. This is accomplished through providing youth with Christ-centered summer camps. These give CBX a platform for year-round discipleship, outreach events, and involvement in a Bible believing church. Core Values: In everything we do, we present campers with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Our desire is that no camper is turned away from Cross Bar X due to a lack of resources. Each camper receives individual attention. We foster spiritual growth through discipleship and mentoring. Campers are encouraged to participate in a Bible believing church. We seek to provide life skills and opportunity for spiritual growth through experiential education. We seek to support and enrich the families of our campers. - Year-long Interns will attend and participate in weekly classes at The Gospel Training School from Nov. 1st – May 20th Hermeneutics Old and New Testament History and Reliability of the Bible Systematic Theology - Year-long interns will serve as an intern one day a week at a local Church INTERNSHIP OVERVIEW Internships at CBX have two primary and uniquely different seasons. We call these the “on-season” and the “off-season.” The “on-season” is from May 20th – Nov. 1st and will be the seasons that you find yourself serving at CBX and COLS exclusively (except for those taking online classes during the fall). COMPENSATION Cross Bar X will provide housing for interns for the entire year, and meals will be provided during the summer camp and fall outdoor education seasons. Limited transportation will be available for those without a vehicle. Those enrolled in the paid internship program will receive room and board plus $400 per month of reimbursable expenses.   • Provides a work study internship with free tuition in City Vision College for a full year paid by hosting ministry.
  • Online courses providing accredited degrees in Nonprofit Management, Addiction Studies, Urban Mission, and Business Administration.
  • Any Pell grant or other federal financial aid paid as cash payment to student (up to $5,815).
  • Expectation is typically 29 hours of volunteer work with 16 hours of class work per week (45 hours total).
  • For Interns with a Bachelors Degree: One Year Paid Internship or Two-Year Community Graduate Fellowship One Year Paid Internship
  • Volunteer Interns paid a living stipend from $400/month.
  • Expectation is typically 40 hours of volunteer work per week.
  • Housing is provided by hosting ministry.
  • Two-Year Community Graduate Fellowship
  • Full Scholarship for a Master’s in Technology & Social Entrepreneurship through City Vision University (worth over $18,000; does not include graduation fees or optional travel fees)
  • Two years of supervised nonprofit or ministry experience interning 35 hours/week.

  • Requirements
  • At least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Must be a Christian
  • U.S. or Canadian citizen, U.S. or Canadian national or lawful permanent resident alien, or have a valid student or work visa
  • Able to make at least a one year (or summer) commitment (may be extended by mutual agreement)
  • Able to financially live on just free housing (and stipend if you opt for the One Year Paid Internship) and any outside income sources you have.
  • Able to relocate to a location of a ministry site (unless a site exists at your current location)
