City Vision Internships is a Christian one-year, multi-year or summer internship program based on the AmeriCorps model. Interns serve at one of over 40 positions across the USA and Canada. In the past 10 years, we have placed over 500 full-time interns and 68,000+ volunteers in hundreds of Christian ministries. For more information or to apply visit cityvisioninternships.org. Job Description: The Objective of the Worship Internship is to assist the Co-Pastor in preparing music for the various Church Services that are given throughout the week. The Worship and Youth Intern will also assist in helping out the Youth Director with the Youth program. Intern must have commitment to moral purity, clear testimony of faith and have a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. Must sense a calling to serve in this ministry role. Essential Functions 1) Perform Music during the worship service and special programs 2) Work with others during Rehearsal 3) Help out Youth Director with children in Youth Program as needed 4) Attend a weekday prayer meeting with the Co-Pastor 5) Assist in bible lessons 6) Help develop a Choir 7) Develop relationships with lost people Supervisory Responsibility There are no supervisory responsibilities for this position Work Environment The work environment is an old school building Physical demands Must be able to lift and move musical instruments without assistance Expected Hours of Work Worship Intern Hours will be discussed between them and Worship Pastor as needed. They will need to prepare for Church Services Wednesday and Saturday Night in addition to Sunday Morning. Required Qualification 1) Enrolled in college 2) Good Communicator 3) Must have a ability to lead in piano or guitar 4) Sense a calling to serve in this ministry role Preferred Qualification 1) Be familiar with the program Proclaim 2) Should be able to read and understand music and chord charts Additional Eligibility Qualifications 1) Must be able to successfully pass criminal background check Work Authorization 1) Must be authorized to legally work in the United States through E-Verify Other Duties Any other duties as assigned by Inside Out Leadership.   • Provides a work study internship with free tuition in City Vision College for a full year paid by hosting ministry.
  • Online courses providing accredited degrees in Nonprofit Management, Addiction Studies, and Urban Missions.
  • Any Pell grant or other federal financial aid paid as cash payment to student (up to $5,645).
  • Expectation is typically 29 hours of volunteer work with 16 hours of class work per week (45 hours total).
  • For Interns with a Bachelors Degree: One Year Paid Internship, Multi-Year Graduate Fellowship or Technology Ministry Master's Fellowship One Year Paid Internship
  • Volunteer Interns paid a living stipend from $200-$600/month (depending on site).
  • Expectation is typically 40 hours of volunteer work per week.
  • Multi-Year Graduate Fellowship
  • Free tuition in Bakke Graduate University programs including MBA, Masters in Global Leadership or Social Entrenpreneurship or Doctorate in Ministry or Transformational Leadership
  • Some sites may provide an additional stipend for outstanding candidates.
  • Candidates may receive up to 6 hours of independent study credit based on practicum work at ministry site.
  • Supervised nonprofit or ministry experience interning 29 hours per week.
  • Technology Ministry Master's Fellowship Must have STEM (science, technology engineering or math) background
  • Free tuition in City Vision College's Master's Program in Technology and Ministry
  • Supervised technology and ministry experience as an intern or tech missionary
  • Candidates may receive up to 6 hours of independent study credit based on practicum work at ministry site (in select states)
  • Requirements
  • At least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Must be a Christian
  • U.S., U.K. or Canadian citizen, U.S., U.K. or Canadian national or lawful permanent resident alien, or have a valid student or work visa
  • Able to make at least a one year (or summer) commitment (may be extended by mutual agreement)
  • Able to financially live on just free housing (and stipend if you opt for the One Year Paid Internship) and any outside income sources you have.
  • Able to relocate to a location of a ministry site (unless a site exists at your current location)
