O. mission is to supply the immediate physical necessities of the poor and to encourage them through practical and spiritual counsel to build a better lifestyle. The most prominent needs are love, physical assistance, and education. The goals of Appalachian Outreach are as follows: TO BE A CHRISTIAN WITNESS BY MINISTERING TO THE PHYSICAL AND SPIRITUAL NEEDS Of THOSE WE SERVE. TO ALLEVIATE FUTURE POVERTY THROUGH EDUCATION AND THE PROVISION Of PERSONAL ROLE MODELS. TO BECOME ADVOCATES FOR THE POOR AND NEEDY. By faith and hard work, Appalachian Outreach strives to transform the pain of poverty to a hope in Jesus Christ that will sustain those who are hungry, tired, lonely, disabled, homeless, etc. When we allow God to use our hands, we can move the seemingly immovable mountains of poverty.
