Mission Statement

Wilmington Leadership Foundation builds relationships that heal by challenging, mobilizing, and partnering with others to make God's love more visible in and around the city of Wilmington.

Description

Outside the Walls is faith based program of the Wilmington Leadership Foundation bringing about change to the Wilmington area by recruiting and training mentors to develop one-on-one relationships with at-risk youth. One of our major initiatives is to substantially and measurably increase the number of volunteer mentors working with vulnerable youth ages 5-17 in the Wilmington area by building a stronger bridge between religious and social institutions. This one-on-one mentoring project will culminate in a state wide mentoring coalition sharing resources, training, and best practices by 2012.
