Touching Miami with Love, Miami, Florida

Touching Miami with Love is an inner-city work that began in 1994 and serves the community of Overtown. Overtown is an inner-city community in downtown Miami, commonly characterized by poverty, crime, violence, and drug-trafficking. Our mission at Touching Miami with Love is to share the love of Christ by providing hope, opportunities and resources to our community. We do this through programs for children, youth and adults. We offer an after school program for grade school children and a 6 week day camp in multiple locations. We also provide a youth program for middle and senior high students. Our youth are involved in leadership development, creative arts, computer literacy, and drug prevention. Touching Miami with Love serves the adults in our community providing free income tax preparation services and financial literacy instruction. We offer a Christmas Toy Store where brand new toys can be purchased at drastically reduced prices. We host regular community meetings to help give the community strength and a voice.
