Mission Statement
The purpose of Lexington Rescue Mission is to serve and glorify God through a Christ-centered ministry that meets the
physical, emotional and spiritual needs of hurting people in the greater Lexington area.
Description
Whether it's an elderly man in need of a hot meal, a single mom who struggles to keep the heat on in the winter or a man
addicted to drugs and alcohol in need of a fresh start, Lexington Rescue Mission is in the center of our community ready
to help.
We strive to meet the basic physical needs of the broken, the vulnerable and the poor. But we also know that their needs
often go deeper than a warm bed or a hot meal. We work to address those needs by teaching life skills, providing housing
and employment counseling and helping men overcome their addictions to drugs and alcohol. In everything we do, we strive
to meet the spiritual needs of those who come to us.
We know that God is a restorer of lives, making that which is broken whole again. We see it through real lives that have
been changed.

Organizational Statement of Faith
We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the infallible, authoritative Word of God.
We believe there is one eternal God, who exists in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His
vicarious and atoning death, through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the
Father, in His personal return in power and glory.
We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful men, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential. This
event we hold to be an experience, rather than a doctrinal supposition.
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a Godly life.
We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and unjust, the everlasting blessedness of the saved, and the
everlasting conscious punishment of the lost.
We believe in the spiritual unity of the believers in Christ and together they form one body, the CHURCH.
